Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe Slot Review
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is a 5-reel, 10-line video slot brought to you by casino big hitters, Novomatic. The game can be seen frequently in most UK land-based casinos, and has become so popular that it has spawned many spin-offs and copies. With a growing collection of traditional casino slots now available for an online audience, we thought we should review it!
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is themed using symbols commonly associated with luck. However, the Lucky Lady is the main character of the slot and she will double your wins if she forms part of your winning combination. With many Novomatic slots, the game is basic in terms of graphics, sounds and gameplay. However, it just goes to show that you don’t need loads of bells and whistles to create a fantastic slot, and Novomatic have proven this time and again with slots such as Book of Ra Deluxe and Dolphin’s Pearl Deluxe. Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe does have high volatility and a below-average RTP that is more in keeping with the land-based casinos. However, the big wins do still happen despite being confined mainly to the bonus game. So is it worth trying to charm The Lady? Let’s find out, in our Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe slot review!

Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe Stakes & Stats
You can play Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe with a stake range of 10p up to £50 per spin. Online casinos are far less restricted in terms of max bets which really allows you to see the potential of a slot like this.
Like its land-based counterpart, you can also select the number of lines you bet on between 1 and 10. Unfortunately, that’s not the only similarity the game brings with it to the online world, as it also has a relatively low RTP of just 95.13%. This means you can expect a theoretical return of just over £95 for every £100 bet.
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe also has a high volatility which means the bigger wins will be less frequent, and you are more likely to see the game pay out more in the free spin bonus.
Game wins are paid from left to right as is the standard, and the Lucky Lady is wild. She also doubles you win if she is featured in the combination. You’ll find other premium symbols including the coin, four-leaf clover, ladybird and rabbit’s foot. Lower-paying symbols are made up of a horseshoe and standard playing cards from 9 to A.
The maximum win per spin is 9,000 x and up to 27,000 x during the free spin bonus where all wins are tripled. Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe comes with one bonus feature that is triggered when you land 3 or more orb scatters which will then award you 15 free spins. Retriggers are also available if you land 3 or more scatters as you play out your free spins.
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe Slot
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe has become one of my go-to games in land-based casinos. Games in traditional casinos don’t tend to change as often as they do online, and it’s easy to get favourites quite quickly. This was certainly the case with this slot, and I still play it in Genting Casinos. I must have played this game hundreds of times over the years along with other Novomatic hits including Dolphin’s Pearl Deluxe. I’ve had many big wins on this, and the best was just short of £2,000 after The Lady gave me 105 free spins in a single bonus!
I didn’t do quite as well when playing to review the online version, but I still enjoyed the experience. In all honesty, I forgot how much I came away with in the end!
It’s true that Lucky Lady’s Charm has a higher volatility, but games like this are where the big bucks are if you can hold your nerve. As long as you have a decent bankroll, then Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is unlikely to disappoint, especially if you want the land-based vibe in your own home!
Bonus Features
Like many earlier Novomatic slots, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe only has one bonus feature. It is triggered by landing 3 or more orb scatters, which will award you 15 free spins. This is where things can get really exciting though as the retriggers are unlimited. The most I have had is 105, but 45 or 60 is quite common with this game. You just need to land 3 or more orbs. It might be nice to have a more diverse selection of bonus features like other slots, but it’s still enjoyable without complicated add-ons and both the free spins and base game can lead to some big wins.

Theme
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is all about symbols of luck, and it has a luck of the Irish feel to it. The slot has an overall pink look to it, and the characters are well-drawn and presented. It does, however, feel a little dated. The game does feature the standard playing card symbols, which is usually a bit of a bugbear of mine. However, this actually compliments the game in this case as it’s based around luck. The premium symbols are animated when they form a winning combination, and you see an approving glint in the Lady’s eyes when she makes up a win. This does add interest to the game and certainly makes it more enjoyable to play visually. Clearly, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is getting on a bit now, but it does retain a visual appeal that you’ll be used to if you’ve played the game in a land-based casino. It therefore deserves an above-average score for the theme alone.
Soundtrack
You will know from my other reviews just how much importance I place on a slot’s soundtrack, and I think Lucky Lady’s Charm is an improvement on Dolphin’s Pearl Deluxe. It feels as though Novomatic made more of an effort here, and certainly on the bigger wins, you get to enjoy a bit of a fanfare. The game also includes a relaxing tune during the free spin bonus and extra points for not being annoying!
Novomatic will have wanted to keep the game as true to the original land-based version as much as possible, and the game brings the same soundtrack with it. It probably does work better in a land-based setting as you have to consider all of the other noises that will be going on around it. I would say it makes sense to keep it simple, so I cannot really fault it for that. Above all, you won’t find it irritating and the sounds are easily forgettable. The last thing I would want is to be humming a tune from a slot machine long after I finish playing. Taking everything into account, I believe it deserves an above-average score for the soundtrack element.
Gameplay
The gameplay on Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe does feel a little bit slow and therefore it might not suit everyone’s taste. However, this is a great slot to chill out to especially if you’ve been playing for a while and need to calm things down a little. It’s not so slow that it becomes painful, and despite the high volatility, you won’t ever find yourself with a load of dead spins. You can always make use of the autoplay feature, but like many of the older Novomatic slots, don’t leave it unattended as you won’t find anything other than an on / off setting! The overall game is simple in design, and I’m a big fan of that because I like to be able to recognise winning combinations instantly without having to think too much about it.
We know that the game is highly volatile and this does make the bonus feature hard to land. However, for all the times I’ve played this game, I cannot ever remember being disappointed with it. I was playing again last night and got a whopping 90 free spins from the bonus that eventually led to a win of over £1,800. It’s therefore well worth the wait if you have a big enough bankroll. Overall, I think the gameplay deserves an above-average score for its simplicity and the retrigger potential within the bonus round.
Entertainment Value
I think Novomatic have proven that you don’t need lots of bells and whistles to create an entertaining slot. They are clearly using their tested formula seen in their land-based casino slots to use in the online market. From an entertainment point of view, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe is a step up from Dolphin’s Pearl Deluxe and it does feel a whole lot more playable.
Simple rules, gameplay, and the potential for some fantastic wins are key to its success, and I’ve enjoyed pretty much every sesssion on this slot. It may not be top of everyone’s playlist, but it will keep you playing, and that is something Novamatic consistently get right. Unlike many other slots, you won’t find a stack of bonus features here. However, I have proven time and again that’s not always necessary to give a fun experience. With this in mind, I score Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe above average in terms of entertainment value.
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe Slot Review Conclusion
Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe retains a charm that’s difficult to ignore. It may be better suited to the land-based casino setting as there are so many better slots online that it’s up against. However, it is still one of my favourites, and you could do a lot worse if you’re looking for simple slots to play. Overall, a solid score and if you’re looking to play for real, be sure to check out Videoslots which offers a fantastic sign-up bonus and they also have a wide range of Novamatic slots!
